The development of communication between blind mother and visual child: research problem statement

The Authors of the article analyze the specifics of communication of Blind mother and Child on the basis of results of a monographic research. The article is concerned with the specifics of relationship of Blind mother and Sighted child. As well as Sighted women, Blind women care for own children. The purpose of this article to analyze the factors influencing successful adaptation of Blind women to motherhood. The scientific significance of the proposed topic lies in the fact that in Kazakhstan’s reality, the problem of blind mothers is not sufficiently investigated. And the practical significance of this article is to give the method of compiling technology with Blind mothers. A comparative analysis shows that for Blind mothers such simple actions as breastfeeding, bathing, walking, feeding and taking medications, get some difficulties, even generate stress and uncertainty regarding child care. Blind mothers in communication with the child need the help of the third person. The authors, highlighting the main forms of contact with a child with a Blind mother, have concluded that it is difficult for a blind mother to develop direct emotional communication, which is reflected in the pace and qualitative characteristics of their mental development. Despite the blindness of the Blind women, without having visual contact at communication with the child, they try to use all necessary types of verbal and nonverbal communication. According to the research conducted on this issue, we can identify communication features of communication between blind mothers and children. In this study, the theoretical foundations of supporting verbal and nonverbal communication were adopted. The problem of adaptation to motherhood of blind women in Kazakhstan science is considered for the first time.
