Abstract

This article considers various theoretical concepts in studying reproductive behaviour of families, individuals. The basic attention is given the economic concept, the theory of demographic transition, the concept of preference, institutional crisis of family, and also to factorial and gender concepts. The reviewed theoretical approaches are directed to the study of reproductive behaviour, the explanation for the decline in the birth rate, the identification of the determinants and factors, which influence the state of the birth rate.
