Features enhancing the professional competence of a social worker in the Republic of Kazakhstan
Abstract
Today, society is increasingly in need of professionals who can competently put the social diagnosis, to carry out social forecasting and strategic planning, conduct correctional, social, therapeutic, rehabilitative work, conduct counseling, mediation, prevention activities with different categories of population in need of social help and support. And, therefore, a social worker and inherent skill profession solutions the most pressing issues facing society are keenly demanded. The development of social work as a professional activity leads to a new paradigm of social work, which defines it as the main subject of professional work in the social sphere, pushes the system requirements for the qualification, moral and ethical behavior specialist. Today, to be a social worker, is not enough to have a good attitude towards people, you need to have professional competence, as you should be able to help, and compassion must be effective. It is assumed the realization of various training models for the integration of global, national and personal needs and interests, caused by regional features. This article discusses the features of the development of social work as a professional activity that determines the social worker as the main subject of social relations, to make demands to the qualifications system and the moral and ethical behavior specialist. Defines the criteria for professional competence of social workers, which can be useful for the analysis of formation of professional competence of the future social worker. The analysis of the individual social worker, as a representative of the social sphere, due to provision of social needs, which is particularly important to study the role of value orientations in the structure of personal and professionally significant qualities. We study the determining factors of social work, acting as a system of values to the future specialist to ensure the effectiveness of practical activities and professional self-realization of the person.
