Actual research of religious identity in the post-soviet Кazakhstan youth

This article is devoted to the study of actual problem the Kazakh students’ religious identity. The con-cept of religious identity, and its role in the human sciences: social psychology, religious studies, and phi-losophy were examined in this article. The religious identity of youth, its formation and development were reviewed. Determination and the investigation the features of religious identity allow to conduct empirical research using the “20 determinations techniques”, “Profiles of religious orientations,” and “The scales of religious orientation.” On the example of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the results showed that eth-nic identity for Kazakh students is more actual than religious self-determination, and that the predominant religions are Islam and Christianity.
