Empirical studies of the subjective picture of a psychology student educational and professional ori-entation

This article presents the results of an empirical study of the subjective picture of educational and profes-sional orientation of the future psychologists, regarded as a steady set, the semantic hierarchy of motives that prompt students to self-actualization and finding themselves in the profession. Psychological mechanisms of educational and professional orientation of psychology students are complex multilevel structure of mo-tives, values, personal meanings and abilities that define professional qualities. The study showed that at the beginning of their educational and professional activity of the basic course students, unformed orientation training in the special field of “psychology” for personal and professional self-awareness is traced. It is not enough for the need and desire of professional development, and it is focused more on the communicative component of the educational process. The senior the course, the more precise subjective manner of professional orientation have students in their educational activity.The presented structure of explicit-implicit model of psychologist professional intellect made it possible to define, that the professional intellect of psychologist is a complex mental activity, constituting a unity of cognitive functions at different levels, system of abilities and competences, a form of individual mental experience organization, activated in the course of professional activity.
