PUBLIC CONFIDENCE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES (CONTENT ANALYSIS BASED ON THE CASE OF JANUARY EVENTS)

This article is devoted to the study of the formation of public opinion, public confidence in law enforcement agencies, the actions of state authorities and law enforcement agencies during the "January events". After all, the new modern relationships in society that have developed as a result of social changes indicate that law enforcement agencies as a social institution are on the verge of changes in a new era. The purpose of the study is to identify the level of public confidence in law enforcement agencies through the study of the case "January events".
The method of "content analysis", the study of public opinion through the analysis of periodicals, was used as the metodological basis of the study. During the review of periodicals, the authors focused on the consideration of public confidence in law enforcement agencies through the prism of the social significance of this phenomenon.
In accordance with the data obtained, it was revealed that the decrease in public confidence in law enforcement agencies is due to bureaucratic obstacles in the law enforcement sphere, the lack of system of procedural actions in the law enforcement process and the prevailing stereotypes regarding law enforcement agencies.
According to the results of the study, the authors conclude that it is important to increase the confidence of the country's population in law enforcement agencies through the development of new mechanisms for the formation of legal culture. It also seems important to increase the level of political culture, which is still not high enough, which was revealed in the analysis of the media. The results of this study are of practical importance for further research in the field of improving the political and legal culture of Kazakh society to increase the level of public confidence in law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
