This article is devoted to the analysis of the development of ethnic entrepreneurship of the Korean Diaspora in Kazakhstan. There are two main theoretical approaches based on which the essence of ethnic entrepreneurship associated with the structural and cultural factors of doing business is considеred. If the first group focuses on the impact of external constraints, which pushes to do business ethnic minorities in a new environment for them to live in, while the second explains the internal aspects of ethnic community and involves minorities in business, living not in their historical homeland. On the example of the Korean Diaspora, one of these «push» factors was the deportation that occurred in the 30s of the last century, the traditional features and legal restrictions, as well as the close factors of «co- ethnic», which united Koreans in the new society. The aim of this work is to adapt the theory of ethnic entrepreneurship of Western sociologists, with the phenomenon of “cobonjil”. The author refers to the historical review of the scientist G. Kim, thereby using the method of secondary analysis. The results of the study showed exactly what factors significantly distinguish the model of entrepreneurial behavior of the Korean diaspora from the existing Western models of behavior.
