Family values in the conditions of socio-economic changes in Kazakhstan

This article discusses the socio-economic changes in family values in Kazakhstan society. The author of the article emphasizes the role of the family in modern Kazakhstan. Family is the main value in human life, which transmits spiritual and moral values from generation to generation. As the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev noted: “The family is the pivot of Kazakhstan’s society, the basis of all the new achievements of our country in the economy, culture and social policy”.
The Republic of Kazakhstan is a dynamically developing country, but at the same time, changes in family values, a cultural crisis that has penetrated into all sectors of society is alarming. The article reflects the social processes of our time, such as divorces, civil marriages, single mothers, “abandoned” children and much more. The author analyzes the problems of the family institution in Kazakhstan, based on statistical data.
In the context of the article, the role of the state in supporting young families is revealed. It is shown that the family institution is in crisis, faced with the challenges of globalization. In the era of globalization, dynamic transformations of social relationships occur. In this regard, marriage and family
relations, the roles of men and women in the family, in general, the totality of all family values began to change. According to the author, the search for spiritual origins and traditions of family relations, as well as improving the quality of life of the young generation, will allow maintaining stability in the family institution.
