Experimental verification of the effectiveness of the program of psychological and pedagogical support of gifted children

Abstract

This article presents the results of an experimental test of the effectiveness of probation of  a program for psychological and pedagogical support of working with gifted children and describing the results of diagnosing the holistic development of gifted students. We have designed a structural and informative model of the introduction of the program of psychological and pedagogical support of working with gifted children into the integral educational process of the specialized school “Zerde”. And also on the basis of this model, a plan of work with gifted children in the conditions of the specialized school “Zerde” was developed. The essence of the experimental work was to test the developed model for implementing the program of psychological and pedagogical support of working with gifted students, which is based on methods of work with gifted children, sufficient for their holistic development in the conditions of the specialized school "Zerde".

The article presents the results of diagnostics of the holistic development of the personality of a gifted student studying at the specialized school “Zerde” in Astana, and also revealed the effectiveness of the implementation of the work plan of a pedagogical psychologist to provide psychological and pedagogical support for gifted students. The article also presents the results identified by comparing the control and experimental groups. As a result of the formative experiment, we revealed that the number of students who have had positive changes due to the active involvement in various types of creative activity has increased, which was our assumption about the beginning of experimental work. The evaluation of the results of experimental work was based on the criteria and indicators characterizing the holistic development of the personality of a gifted teenager.
