Features of marriage choice among student youth (on the example of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University)

Abstract

The article discusses the relationship between the criteria for marrial choice and the intended image of the future family on the example of students. And also discusses the multiplicity of features of marriage choice among students in modern Kazakh society on the materials of a sociological study conducted by the authors in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The purpose of this study was to determine the main features of marriage choices among students. Hypothesis: students have stereotypical value orientations of the marriage choice. In the study, the questionnaire was used as the main method for studying the charac- teristics of marrial choice among students of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In addition, using keywords to determine the relevance of this topic, the Google Trends web application was used. And its re- sults were analyzed by statistical analysis and data analysis. Based on the materials of a sociological study, the work identifies features of the marriage choice of young people, its main factors. The basis of marrial choice is the feeling of love for a partner, as well as independence in deciding on marriage, on monogamy and the main reasons for entering into marriage. The main regularities and features of marrial choice are identified, problems and risk factors are identified. Materials and conclusions can be used in academic activities, the practical work of public authorities and management, public organizations.
