Abstract

Blind mothers are one of the special groups that need a lot of support from the society. However, this problem is not sufficiently studied in many countries, either from a theoretical or practical point of view. Theoretical and experimental studies have shown that the parental problems of blind mothers are the same in all countries. The article deals with the specifics of interaction between blind mothers and children, their experience in the education of the future generation. Due to the limited health abilities of parents in sight, their experience in raising children is significantly different from the experience of sighted parents and this, of course, can not but affect the quality of life of children raised in such families. In this article, the authors offer practical advice on the organization of social work with parents with visual disabilities, raising normally seeing children of infant and early age, presents a theoretical analysis of scientific publications of the experience of foreign countries with blind parents. The proposed recom-mendations can be useful not only for professional social workers, rehabilitation centers, but also for parents with visual impairments.

Key words: blindness, blind mother, the parental experience of blind parents, parents with disabilities.
