Abstract

The article actualizes the problems of socialization faced by adult youth in modern Kazakhstan. The purpose of the article is a comprehensive analysis of the features of the socialization of young people in Kazakhstan; identification of key problems of young people that hinder their further full-fledged development. The research methodology is based on the concepts of various schools of social sciences and humanities on the problem of socialization of children and youth. It is revealed that the existing problems among the Kazakh youth are associated with many factors, the main of which is the degree of effectiveness of the state youth policy. Corruption (including in the field of education), political instabil- ity and lack of professionalism of responsible persons have become cross-cutting topics in the framework of the conducted research, which makes it possible to highlight these problems as an important indicator of the well-being of young citizens in the country. Kazakhstan’s youth still experience the greatest difficulties in such basic components of life support as employment (simultaneously with low wages) and housing. It is obvious that in the process of their development, modern young people face infringement of their rights in society in such important categories as social status, belonging to a certain ethnic group, religion, language, which can eventually lead to devastating consequences. As recommendations, the authors emphasized that it is expedient for the state to have a policy that would cover all layers of youth and really solve their most pressing problems. The results of sociological research can be applied by a wide range of researchers in the framework of studying the problems of Kazakh youth; they are of great interest in developing an effective strategic model of socialization of adult youth.
