This article discusses the standard of living as the main economic category of social work. «Living standards – a set of indicators and the conditions that characterize the magnitude sati sting life needs of people welfare of the population, level using services. « In other words, the standard of living is determined by the utility of consumption as well asconsequencedegree of satisfaction and the development needs of the people in society. Nowadays economists suggest the following definition of this category: «Quality of life – a set of economic, social and values.» In this situation, «working conditions and safety, leisure time and the possibility of its use, culture, and security of citizens» are considered.
