Abstract

Kazakhstan’s interest in joining the Bologna process is to run the mod­ ernization of the national education system, improve its competitiveness facing the challenges of globalization and the gradual, phased implemen­ tation and adaptation of the individual components is the most appropriate strategy for the inclusion of Kazakhstan’s education in the European edu­ cational space. During the implementation of the main provisions of the Bologna process, all European countries face different kinds of challenges that are related to the degree of correlation with the national models of pan­European ideal, and with a choice of approaches. Active inclusion of Kazakhstan in European integration makes promis­ ing to study the experience of Western European countries that initiated the process. In each of the participating countries noted the use of their own approaches to solving the problems of integration of education, which are characterized by varying degrees of combination of European and national components in the reform of higher education.
