Abstract

This article explores current issues of organization of systems of pro­ fessional self­determination of young people in Germany and Bulgaria. The article describes the history of development of career guidance in Ger­ many since the Middle Ages to modern times, with an indication of the concept of K. Buecher about professional workshops, model G. Kerschen­ steiner of principle of dual vocational education, G. Munsterberg ideas about what schools should prepare future members Society, therefore, it will inevitably face in the activities of the issues of choice of profession and their students must provide them all possible assistance in this search. The article also describes and characteristics of the Bulgarian system of vocational guidance, focuses on the institutionalization of professional self­determination, and as examples of these activities of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES), the National Agency for Professional Educa­ tion and Training (NAPO), specialized schools and centers for professional orientation. The substantiation of strategic documents on the formation of Bulgaria’s competence at the youth of today for professional self­deter­ mination, such as the development strategy of vocational education and training in the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2015 – 2020 years., The National Strategy for lifelong learning for the period 2014 – 2020 years., Map “Professional Orientation in Bulgaria 2009 ­2013 years.”
