Psychological features of youth tolerance

Abstract

This article presents the results of research of psychological features of toler­ance among youth and adolescent students. In the research following methods were used: «Diagnosis of communicative tolerance (V.V. Boyko)», «Express questionnaire of tolerance index (Soldatov, Kravtsov, Huhlaev, Shaygerova)», «Questionnaire for measuring general attitudes among children (E. Frenkel - Brunsvik). According to the study in adolescent students prevails rigid categorical attitudes as personal de­terminants of intolerant attitudes. While students of youthful age, were obtained more flexible, open attitudes as the personal determinants of tolerance. Identified in the study of particular structural components of tolerance and factors of its develop­ment in adolescence should be used in the development of psychological and peda­gogical recommendations for optimizing the process of development of tolerance.
