Social transformation and values orientation in Kazakhstan during the perestroika (based on the content analysis of newspaper articles Kazakh-speaking media at the period from 1982 to 1991)

This article is devoted to the analysis of Kazakh periodicals at the Soviet time during the «perestroika time». The basic goal of the article was directed to the studying the newspapers’ formats and contents from 1982 to 1991. The main method of studying was content analysis of newspaper materials. In a result, during the research period from 1982 to 1991 Kazakh language press was identified due to the analysis of newspaper materials, which had been changing and developing. More than that Kazakh language press had been changing the structure and acquiring own particularity. For instance, in the socialist time from 1982 to 1984 Kazakh newspaper publications strictly abide by the centralized “cliche” in the selection and publication of materials. Basically the press focused on the coverage of political sphere: the activity of CPSU Central Committee, party congresses and plenums, etc. From 1985 to 1989 the main focus moved to the economic sphere: socio-economics programs, particularly rental sector, the transition from a planned economy to an economic calculation, the transition to self-financing were actively covered.Post-perestroika time from 1990 to 1991 extends further by liberalization of the flow of information to the media. Gradually were introduced the changes in the structure and content of newspapers (themes and content of the articles, registration papers, etc.).
