Abstract

In the article «Нistorical basis of structural social work» discusses the emergence and development of scientific concepts of social work in his­ torical retrospect. Over time, the changed methods and forms of work, but the main principle of social work is social assistance, understood as the formation of a social worker under the supervision of and with the direct participation of the client to self­help skills. The main strategy is actions aimed at increasing the independence of the client, the development of his ability to control his life and himself to solve problems.
