Abstract

The article is dedicated to the problem of human’s attitude to the environment. Deterioration of the ecological state is regarded as determined not only by external factors, but also by internal psychological problems, in particular by the anthropocentric consciousness,which is focused exclusively on the person’s needs. The article is focused on the need of reorientation of human consciousness from technocratic to ecological due to deterioration of the ecological state. This formed type of ecological consciousness determines the behavior of people in relation to the environment. This article conducted a review of the scientific literature on the given subject and study of the basic concepts related to the psychological characteristics of the relationship to nature. In the empirical part of the study were used methods by which where the psychological characteristics of the relationship to nature in the studied age groups revealed.
