Social Responsibility of Higher Education Institutions

Abstract

The article analyzes the scientific literature on the study of social re­ sponsibility of higher education. Social responsibility as a complex scien­ tific category is studied by many social sciences, but the main subject of the social responsibility is considered by most authors business and entre­ preneurship. Proponents of this interpretation raise the issue of the need for a broader concept like a «social mission of the university». This concept now is the basis for the determination of the social responsibility of higher education as a key priority of the national education policy.
